Following Week 2 of the volleyball season, some teams have dropped out of the top 10 while others have increased their rank.
Lakewood Ranch remains first, only dropping one match this season. After finishing 9-15 in 2025, Sarasota has started the 2026 season undefeated. Saint Stephen's, ODA and Bradenton Christian have also proved themselves early.

Here are the volleyball rankings through Week 2:
Matches played through Monday, Aug. 31, 2026.
1. Lakewood Ranch (7-1)
Last week: Defeated Bradenton Christian 3-1 and Parrish Community 3-2.
Analysis: Lakewood Ranch has continued to roll, winning both games in Week 2. Junior Adalynn Lund leads with 52 kills, 65 digs and 87 assists in 24 sets. Junior Samantha Haney has a team-high 11
aces.
2. Sarasota (3-0)
Last week: Defeated Wellen Park 3-1.
Analysis: After finishing 9-15 last season, Sarasota is undefeated in 2026. The Sailors' roster is mixed with familiar faces and new talent. Senior Liza Collier has a team-high 30 kills and 15 aces, while sophomore Zoey Mullen is close behind with 28 kills. Senior Sydney Mullen leads with 47 digs. Sophomore Hailey Lane has a team-best 47 assists.
3. Saint Stephen's (3-1)
Last week: Lost to St. Petersburg Catholic 3-1. Defeated Sarasota Christian 3-2.
Analysis: Saint Stephen's has moved up several spots after only dropping one match to open the season. Junior Olivia Ierulli leads with 42 kills. Senior Karlah Benzan has a team-best 65 digs, and junior Madyson Boling has 86 kills.
4. Out-of-Door Academy (5-2)
Last week: Defeated Braden River 3-1 and Lakewood Ranch Prep 3-0.
Analysis: ODA remains at the top of the list after an undefeated Week 2. Sophomore Alex Beasley leads with 24 kills. Junior Isla Paterson and sophomore Scarlett Vella have 30 digs combined. Freshman Charlie Birdsall has a team-best 31 assists.
5. Bradenton Christian (2-2)
Last week: Lost to Lakewood Ranch 3-1. Defeated Venice 3-1.
Analysis: Bradenton Christian has stayed in the same spot after Week 2. Despite losing to Lakewood Ranch, the Panthers followed it up with a huge win against Venice on the road.
6. Venice (3-1)
Last week: Defeated Riverview 3-0. Lost to Bradenton Christian 3-1.
Analysis: Venice fell a few spots after dropping a match to Bradenton Christian, its first loss of the season. Sophomore Kinsey Judge leads with 32 kills. Junior Ana Julia Villamajor has a team-best 59 digs, and junior Beckett Hammers has a team-high 78 assists.
7. Parrish Community (2-2)
Last week: Defeated Southeast 3-0. Lost to Lakewood Ranch 3-2.
Analysis: Parrish Community enters the list after a 2-2 start, where the Bulls took top-ranked Lakewood Ranch to a fifth set.
8. Riverview (2-2)
Last week: Lost to Venice 3-0. Defeated Port Charlotte 3-0.
Analysis: Riverview had a solid second week of the season. After being swept by Venice — one of the best teams in the area — the Rams rebounded, sweeping Port Charlotte.
9. Braden River (1-2)
Last week: Lost to ODA 3-1.
Analysis: The Pirates have opened the season with a tough slate, facing Sarasota and ODA on the road, which are two of the best teams in the area. Still, after graduating several pieces last season, Braden River has held its own during the first two weeks of the season.
10. Sarasota Christian (1-2)
Last week: Defeated Palmetto 3-1. Lost to Saint Stephen's 3-2.
Analysis: Sarasota Christian has opened its season against some of the best teams in the area, including top-ranked Sarasota and Saint Stephen's. The Blazers pushed Saint Stephen's to a fifth set, ultimately losing 3-2.
