It's officially the middle of the high school volleyball season.
Riverview remains in front. Bradenton Christian and Venice moved up after Sarasota fell to the Indians. Lakewood Ranch moved down, struggling in Week 5 as Cardinal Mooney continued its surge. ODA, Saint Stephen's and Braden River round out the top-10.

Here are the volleyball rankings through Week 5:
Matches played through Sunday, Sept. 20.
1. Riverview (11-3)
Last week: Defeated Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions 2-0, Bradenton Christian 2-1. The Villages Charter 2-0. Lost to Strawberry Crest 2-1.
Analysis: After beginning the season 1-2, Riverview has one 10 of its last 11 matches. Senior Lyla Bailey leads with 95 kills and 105 digs. Junior Mila Poteralski
has 148 assists.
2. Bradenton Christian (12-7)
Last week: Defeated Saint Stephen's 3-0, Sarasota 2-0, Neuman 2-0, East Lake 2-0. Lost to DME Academy 2-0 and Riverview 2-1.
Analysis: Bradenton Christian earned huge wins in Week 5, defeating Sarasota and Saint Stephen's, which are two of the top teams in the area. The Panthers also forced a third set in a 2-1 loss to Riverview, which is the best-ranked team in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
3. Venice (9-5)
Last week: Defeated Sarasota 3-2, Westminster Christian 3-0, Lake Highland 2-0, Bishop Kenny 2-1. Lost to Archbishop McCarthy 2-1, Seacrest Country Day 2-1, Palm Harbor University 2-1.
Analysis: In a five-set thriller, Venice reverse sweeped Sarasota. The Indians won four of its seven matches in Week 5. Sophomore Kinsey Judge leads with 126 kills, while junior Beckett Hammers has 116 of her own. Hammers also has 239 assists. Junior Ana Julia Villamajor leads with 154 digs.
4. Sarasota (10-8)
Last week: Lost to Venice 3-2, Bradenton Christian 2-0, DME Academy 2-0, McKeel Academy 201. Defeated ODA 3-1, Neumann 2-1, Lakewood Ranch 2-0.
Analysis: Of its seven matches in Week 5, Sarasota lost four. But the Sailors picked up a big win against Lakewood Ranch. Senior Liza Collier leads with 126 kills and 31 aces. Senior Gemma Mulhollen has a team-high 48 blocks. Defensive specialist Sydney Mullen has a team-best 152 digs.
5. Cardinal Mooney (11-6)
Last week: Lost to Tampa Prep 3-0, Calvary Christian 3-0. Defeated Bishop Verot 3-1.
Analysis: While Mooney suffered two losses in Week 5, the Cougars been on a roll over the last two weeks, winning seven straight matches in September.
6. Lakewood Ranch (10-7)
Last week: Defeated Estero 2-1. Lost to Newsome 2-0, St. Petersburg 2-0, Sarasota 2-0.
Analysis: Lakewood Ranch struggled in Week 5, losing to three teams. Six of the team's seven losses have come in September. Junior Addalyn Lund has a team-high 88 kills, 123 digs and 160 assists.
7. Parrish Community (12-6)
Last week: Defeated Palmetto 3-0, Circle Christian 2-0, Harmony 2-0, Cornerstone Christian 2-0 and Lake Mary 2-0. Lost to Windermere 2-0.
Analysis: Of its six matches in Week 5, Parrish Community only dropped one. Senior Alysa Jones leads with 90 kills. Senior Alexis Gallagher has 111 digs.
8. Out-of-Door Academy (11-7)
Last week: Lost to Braden River 3-2, Sarasota 3-1, North Fort Myers 2-0, Charlotte 2-0. Defeated DeSoto County 2-0 and Evangelical Christian 2-0.
Analysis: ODA picked up two wins in Week 5, but dropped four matches. Sophomore Alex Beasley has 153 kills, 121 digs and 36 aces.
9. Saint Stephen's (7-7)
Last week: Defeated Admiral Farragut 3-0. Lost to Bradenton Christian 3-0.
Analysis: Saint Stephen's went 1-1 in Week 5, remaning even on the season. Junior Olivia Ierulli leads with 124 kills.
10. Braden River (5-7)
Last week: Defeated Palmetto 3-0, ODA 3-2 and Port Charlotte 2-1. Lost to Tampa Bay HEAT 2-0 and Oasis 2-1.
Analysis: The Pirates had a solid Week 5, picking up big wins against ODA and Port Charlotte. They dropped two of its five matches.
