A 59-year-old Sarasota man was seriously injured Saturday night when his pickup truck overturned on Interstate 75 near Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south near mile marker 246 at about 10:25 p.m. Oct. 3 when he overtook slower traffic and took evasive action to avoid a crash, troopers said.
The truck entered the median and overturned.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to FHP. His name was not released.
