A new Chick-fil-A will open in Bradenton on Thursday, Oct. 15, creating about 50 jobs and offering free food to customers who arrive in cow attire on opening day.
Chick-fil-A Heritage Harbour will open at 6 a.m. at 7283 State Road 64 E., near I-75 and north of Lakewood Ranch, according to a company news release.
The restaurant’s owner-operator, Jonathan Ith, joined Chick-fil-A as a team member in 1989. His family came to the United States from Cambodia in 1981 and was welcomed by the Bradenton community, he said.
“When my family came to America from Cambodia in 1981, we were welcomed by the Bradenton community and given opportunities that changed our lives. Opening this restaurant here is both a privilege and a way to give back to the community that supported
my family from the beginning,” Ith said in the release.
To mark the opening, Chick-fil-A Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay to support local hunger relief efforts.
The restaurant will also participate in Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits.
How to get free food on opening day
Customers who visit the restaurant on Oct. 15 wearing cow attire, from a full costume to a cow-spotted accessory, can receive one free select entree or kid’s meal.
Breakfast options include a chicken biscuit, Egg White Grill or four-count Chick-n-Minis. Lunch and dinner options include an original or spicy chicken sandwich, eight-count grilled or breaded nuggets, or a five-count nugget kid’s meal.
The offer is available inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru, with a limit of one per person in cow attire, while supplies last. No purchase is necessary.

Chick-fil-A Heritage Harbour will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The location will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carryout, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru service.
