A fire at the El Pollo Loco restaurant in Camarillo on Oct. 15 has left the restaurant temporarily closed.
Crews with the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the working structure fire at the single-story commercial building at 399 N. Las Posas Road around 9:24 p.m., according to a post from the fire department's X account.
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the attic space, where the main body of the fire was, fire officials said.

The business was open when the fire started but employees and customers were able to safely evacuate, said Andrew Dowd a spokesperson for the fire department.
Over 60 firefighters responded to the blaze with no injuries reported, officials said.
The building was red-tagged following the fire, Dowd said.
As such, no one is allowed to enter, except for repair work, until the city's building and safety department deems it safe for occupancy.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
