A woman was airlifted to a local hospital on Sept. 19 after the vehicle she was in crashed near Lake Piru.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the single-vehicle crash on Piru Canyon Road about a mile north of the lake and campground entrance around 2:42 p.m., said CHP Officer Ryan Ayers.
Lake Piru is located in the unincorporated area of Piru, on the eastern edge of Ventura County, off Highway 126.
CHP officers found a vehicle, occupied by a male driver and a female passenger, had rolled about 100 feet down an embankment, Ayers said.
The passenger sustained major injuries and was airlifted to the Ventura County Medical Center, Ayers said. The driver sustained minor injuries.
The CHP's Moorpark area is investigating the crash.
