One person died after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Highway 23 in Moorpark on Aug. 4.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to Happy Camp Road around 3:02 a.m. after a caller reported seeing a vehicle
on fire, according to Sgt. Noah Watkins. The area is located along Highway 23 near Grimes Canyon Road.
The vehicle had a single occupant and crashed into a tree, causing it to catch fire, Watkins said. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
