Authorities responded to battle a fire by the California Tactical Academy off of Holser Canyon Road near Lake Piru in Ventura County on Aug. 8.
Dubbed the Holser Fire, the blaze was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at the 6700 block of Holser Canyon Road in Piru. Initial reports showed the fire at 8 acres with the potential to grow to 50 acres.
Ventura County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services said crews were responding to the brush fire. No evacuation orders or warnings have been issued, but residents in the area should remain alert and monitor official information closely and be prepared to take immediate action should conditions deteriorate, officials said.
