A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter pilot stationed at Coast Guard Air Station in Ventura died Aug. 23 in a shooting near Seattle, authorities said.
Lt. Connor Overstreet, 29, was found shot in the chest on a road in Skyway, an unicorporated area of King County, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
King County sheriff's deputies were called to reports of a shooting around 12:40 a.m. Aug. 23. Fire crews also arrived to help, but Overstreet died, sheriff's officials said in a news release.
No arrests had been made as of Aug. 31, sheriff's officials said.
The sheriff's office is searching for information and video on the shooting. Its crimestoppers is now offering a $30,000 reward.

was stationed in Ventura County and his role as a helicopter pilot but would not say more about how long he had been assigned to the air station or other details of his service. The air station is located at Naval Base Ventura County.
Overstreet's family and loved ones said he had been involved in a drive-by shooting on their fundraising site.
"Thank you to all who have offered to support the Overstreet family as we grapple with the unimaginable loss of Connor Scott Overstreet," the page says. "The outpouring of love, support, outrage, and offers to help have lifted our hearts in this dark time."
Part of the funds will be used toward crimestoppers to help track down the person responsible for the guardsman's death, the site says.
The family said additional funds will be used to offset costs related to his death and to charities Overstreet would have supported.
"Please know how thankful the family is for any level of support and that we expect nothing but to keep Connor in your heart and in your memory," the site says.
