The next rocket launch from California will see SpaceX conducting a secretive mission for the U.S. military.
The commercial spaceflight company, which tech mogul Elon Musk founded in 2002, is due to launch its famous Falcon 9 rocket to deploy a payload for the U.S. Space Force.
Liftoff is targeted for Thursday, Sept. 10, with a three-hour window open from 8:37 to 11:37 a.m. PT, according to SpaceX. The launch will take place from Space Launch Complex 4-East (SLC-4E,) which SpaceX leases as a launch site for its Falcon 9 rocket at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara County.
