Oxnard police are investigating a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Oxnard Boulevard at Ninth Street.
The Oxnard Police Department was called out to an injury collision around 4:50 a.m. just south of the downtown area. The injured pedestrian was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital. The patient's condition was not known as of 8:45 a.m., said Cmdr. Tom Rawlings.
Oxnard Boulevard, between Ninth and Eighth streets, remained closed for the investigation, and drivers were advised to use alternate routes, according to Rawlings and a department news release.
The driver stayed at the scene of the crash, he said. The collision is still under investigation.
