Four people were displaced, and one dog died after a house fire in Camarillo on Aug. 18.
Firefighters with the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the 5300 block of Heather Street around 8:49 a.m., according to a fire department social media post.
Crews found smoke coming from a bedroom of a single-story duplex and worked to put out the blaze and look for any residents inside, fire officials said.
The fire was contained to the single bedroom and was quickly put out, officials said. No firefighters or people were injured, but one dog died.
Four people were displaced following the fire.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
