Authorities identified the man who died after a crash off Highway 101 in Thousand Oaks on Aug. 13.
Seth Cowgill, 21, was from Moorpark, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. He died of blunt force injuries, and her death was ruled an accident.
Cowgill was found unresponsive in a 2008 Honda hatchback shortly before 6 a.m. down an embankment off the Westlake Boulevard off-ramp, California Highway Patrol officials previously said.
He was driving southbound on Highway 101 at an unknown speed when, for reasons yet to be determined, he lost control of his car, veered to the right shoulder, went down the embankment and crashed into a tree, the CHP said.

the CHP’s Moorpark-area office at 805-553-0800.
A GoFundMe was set up to help his family with funeral costs and had reached $18,435 of its $25,000 goal.
He is survived by his mother, younger sister and stepfather, the fundraiser says.
