A Camarillo man suffered non-life threatening stab wounds after some kind of dispute at the Ventura Pier Aug. 25.
Officers with the Ventura Police Department responded to the stabbing at 3:27 p.m. and found the 30-year-old who was transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment, according to a news release.
Sgt. Fabian Gutierrez said by phone that officers were alerted to the incident by workers with San Buenaventura State Beach.
The victim did not know the person who stabbed him, police said in the release. Officers did not believe there was a threat to the public.
Gutierrez said an altercation preceded the stabbing, which appeared to be isolated. No arrests had been made as of 9:30 a.m. The sergeant said he did not know why the Camarillo
man was on the pier.
The stabbing marks the second in two days in Ventura. A 58-year-old Oxnard man suffered life-threatening stab wounds when he was found on the city's west side Aug. 25.
