A vehicle became partially submerged after crashing off the Pacific Coast Highway near the border of Ventura and Los Angeles counties on Oct. 3, according to initial reports.
The California Highway Patrol
received a report of a white van that went over the roadway of Highway 1 near Deer Creek Road shortly before 10 a.m., initial CHP reports showed.
The van was about 50 feet off the roadway and partially in shallow water, reports showed. A person in the vehicle was able to get out.
The crash caused all lanes of traffic to be stopped temporarily, initial reports showed.
