A man accused of shooting a woman outside his Ventura home in July has pleaded not guilty to all charges, according to Ventura County Superior Court records.
Gregory Lide, 52, pleaded not guilty on Sept. 22 to one count each of murder, possession of a firearm as a felon and possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, court records show; he also denied five special allegations, including that he has a prior serious or violent felony.
Prosecutors allege that Lide and the victim, 34-year-old Brittney Stark, were together July 18 at his home near West Ramona and Olive streets on the west side of Ventura.
The morning of July 19, Lide allegedly shot Stark as she approached her car parked outside his home, prosecutors said.

Police Department officer discovered the injured woman, and she died shortly after at Ventura County Medical Center, according to police.
Joey Buttitta, spokesperson for the DA's office, previously told The Star that his agency's investigators know the relationship between Lide and the victim but declined to disclose it.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office said the Santa Paula woman died of a gunshot wound to the head and determined her manner of death as homicide.
Officers arrested Lide at his home the evening of July 19. He remains in custody at Todd Road jail and is being held without bail.
Lide's early disposition conference is scheduled for Oct. 2, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.
