A woman attacked by two dogs Oct. 18 in the Camarillo area was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff's Officer were called to Estaban Drive at 7:37 a.m. about the dogs and found them attacking the woman upon arrival. The street lies in an unincorporated area known Las Posas Estates.
The woman, who had been on a walk at the time, was transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment, sheriff's officials said.
Capt. Mike McConville said the dogs were on the loose at the time of the attack. Ventura County Animal Services was called and took possession of the dogs who were described as rottweilers.
Sheriff's officials did not know if the dogs' owner or owners were cited or what happened after
the dogs were taken by animal services. Messages left Oct. 19 with animal services were not immediately returned.
