Authorities identified the man who was found dead near the Camarillo train station on Aug. 24.
Joavanny Dionicio, 33, was from Oxnard, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. He died after suffering multiple blunt force injuries, but the way he died is still under investigation, the medical examiner’s office said.
Dionicio was found by a person walking along the tracks near the station at 30 S. Lewis Road around 11:15 p.m., the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office previously said.
Sheriff’s Investigators believe he was hit by a train earlier in the day, but the crash was not noticed.
The sheriff's office was not immediately available to provide updates on the investigation.
