An Ojai man, who has worked as a pastor and a massage therapist, has been charged with multiple felony offenses of child molestation in Ojai and Oxnard, according to authorities.

David Johnson, 58, was charged by the Ventura County District Attorney's Office on offenses including four counts of lewd acts upon a child and two counts of continuous sex abuse and additional special allegations, according to a DA's office news release.

He was arrested on Aug. 24 and being held in Ventura County jail on $1 million bail, jail records show. During his Ventura County Superior Court hearing on Aug. 26, he pleaded not guilty to all charges, court records show.

Johnson, who worked as a pastor and massage therapist, is accused of molesting children under the age of 14

over several years in Ojai and Oxnard, officials said. He is suspected of accessing the children through a familial relationship.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and ask anyone with information to contact Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Detective Michael Loth at 805-384-4745.

Johnson has a next court hearing scheduled on Aug. 28, records show.
