Ventura County officials have released the list of qualified candidates for the Nov. 3 election, including dozens running for city council seats.
The November ballot will include candidates from runoffs for state, federal and county offices to city council, school board and special district races, and the Ventura County Elections Division posted those who qualified in local contests.
Two years ago, Camarillo and Moorpark opted to skip placing city council races on the ballot, because the seats in play had only a single contender. Fillmore officials are expected to soon discuss their options for the upcoming election.
You can find the complete list of those who qualified at vote.venturacounty.gov, including those vying for school board and special

Key dates for the Nov. 3 election
Early voting is set to begin on Oct. 5, the same day election officials plan to start mailing ballots to registered voters.
The deadline to register to vote online is Oct. 19, but those eligible can register in person up to and including on Election Day in California. Called conditional voter registration or same-day registration, eligible voters fill out a provisional ballot and a registration form at the same time.
Under the state’s Voters Choice Act, the county has extended in-person voting days but reduced the number of voting locations. Instead of hundreds of polling places, a smaller number of vote centers open for additional days. Voters may cast a ballot at any location, not just the closest to them.
The initial vote center locations will open on Oct. 24.
