It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Girls Athlete of the Week.
This week's poll consists of four players – two from volleyball, one from field hockey and one from swimming – who had standout performances during the week of Aug. 24-30.
Voting will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Here are the nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name):
Mara Boullion, Ann Arbor Pioneer, field hockey
The defending field hockey champions opened the season with three straight shutout victories (against Saline, Ann Arbor Skyline and last season's state runner-up, Dexter). Boullion, a sophomore goalkeeper, anchored the defense with seven saves across the three-game stretch.
Ella Harris, Utica, volleyball
Utica played eight matches over a three-day stretch while participating in two quad matches. Harris, a junior outside hitter,
filled the stat sheet with 59 kills, 51 receptions, 40 digs, 39 service points and 12 aces.
Kate Kalczynski, Farmington Hills Mercy, volleyball
Kalczynski helped Mercy win eight of its nine games last week. The senior outside hitter totaled 38 kills, 13 digs, four aces and two blocks.
Olivia Miller, Grosse Ile, swimming
Miller helped the Red Devils take first place in the 200-meter freestyle relay during a quad event at Trenton High School on Aug. 26. The sophomore, who led off the relay, set a personal record for her 50-yard portion with a time of 26.84 seconds. She also finished second in both the individual 200 and 500 freestyle events.
