Week 8 of the 2026 college football season offered up some drama in the Big Ten on Saturday, Oct. 24.
One week after seeing its 22-game win streak snapped, No. 6 Indiana went on the road and survived a stiff test from Michigan in a 13-6 overtime victory in Wolverines freshman quarterback Tommy Carr's first career start. The Hoosiers won despite subpar day from a banged-up Josh Hoover, who completed only eight of 18 passes for 81 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. It was Indiana's first win at Michigan since 1967.
With No. 2 Ohio State enjoying a bye week, the Big Ten's only other top-10 team in action, No. 10 UCLA, kept its unbeaten record intact with a 28-10 victory against Michigan State.

Elsewhere, No. 23 Northwestern drubbed Rutgers, 42-14; Minnesota walked off No. 14 Iowa, 13-10; Wisconsin limited No. 15 USC to the lowest scoring total ever under Lincoln Riley in a 24-7 win; and No. 25 Oregon was held scoreless in the second half in a 21-10 loss to Illinois.
