A Kent County woman who buys a lottery ticket almost every day recently won $1 million playing an instant game, according to the Michigan Lottery.
The 58-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier ticket at Aikan Liquor, 1640 44th St. SE in Kentwood.
"I buy a lottery ticket almost every day, and typically buy my tickets at all different stores," she told the Michigan Lottery.
She scratched the ticket when she got home and screamed when she realized she'd won one of the game's top prizes.
" ... I screamed so loud that I scared my son!" she said.
"It is such a relief to win a big prize like this," she said. "It means no more
stress and is going to make life easier. It will also allow my son and I to have a little fun!"

When she claimed her prize, she opted to receive a one-time lump-sum payment of about $693,000 rather than annuity payments for the full amount.
The $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier game launched with three $1 million top prizes. Two of those prizes remain unclaimed.
