It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Boys Athlete of the Week.
This week's poll includes four players – three from football and one soccer – who had standout performances during the week of Sept. 7-13.
Voting will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Here are the nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name):
Collin Abram, Grand Rapids West Catholic, football
Grand Rapids West Catholic rebounded from its Week 2 loss to Coopersville with a 44-34 win over nearby Grand Rapids South Christian on Sept. 11. Abram a running back and middle linebacker, dominated at both spots for the Falcons, rushing 21 times for 199 yards and four touchdowns and recording a team-high 10 tackles.
Myles Matlock, Detroit Edison, football
Detroit Edison became the first team this season to score against Romulus Summit Academy as Matlock powered the Pioneers'
offense, completing 13 of 18 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns while adding a rushing score.
Brandon Shamblin, Hazel Park, soccer
Shamblin was one of three players to score in Hazel Park's 6-0 win over Roseville on Sept. 9. The senior midfielder recorded a hat trick, accounting for half of the Vikings' goals.
Raine Thomas, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, football
Cranbrook's 64-0 victory over Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes on Sept. 10 gave the Cranes a 3-0 start for the first time since 2017. Thomas went 6-for-9 passing for 172 yards and four touchdowns.
