Week 2 of the Michigan high school football season is in the books, which means it's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Boys Athlete of the Week.
This week's poll features five players who all had outstanding performances for their respective schools.
Voting will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.
Here are the nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name):
QB Easton Danosky, Allen Park
Allen Park senior quarterback Easton Danosky went 13-for-17 on pass attempts for 258 yards and five touchdowns in a 46-26 win over Taylor on Thursday, Sept. 3. The league win over the Cougars brought the Jaguars to 1-1 on the season, with Danosky the catalyst for Allen Park's offense.
WR/QB Darryl Flemister, Detroit King
Detroit King star Darryl Flemister
started the game in his usual position at wide receiver, but switched to quarterback in the second half, with King coach Terel Patrick looking for a spark. It worked, as Flemister led the No. 7 Crusaders to a 44-42 triple-overtime win on the road over No. 3 Orchard Lake St. Mary's on Thursday night.
DE/RB Bryce Kish, Howell

Playing with a broken finger on his left hand, Howell running back Bryce Kish was one of his team's three 100-yard rushers in the Highlanders' 41-31 win over Belleville on Thursday, Sept. 3. Kish finished with 130 yards on 16 carries and scored all four first-half touchdowns for the Highlanders.
RB Troy Peters, Mason
Mason had a tough test against the defending Division 3 state champions in DeWitt, who came into Thursday's game on a 15-game win streak. But behind 193 rushing yards from senior Troy Peters, the Bulldogs broke that streak with a 30-17 win, with Mason now 2-0 after the upset victory.
QB Sam Rouleau, Grosse Pointe South
Grosse Pointe South quarterback Sam Rouleau went 9-for-16 for 151 passing yards and three touchdowns, adding 35 rushing yards, in the Blue Devils dominating 40-0 win over rival Roseville on Thursday. The Central Michigan commit led a balanced GPS offensive attack that held off an opponent that has played several close games with them over the years.
