Michigan flyers on American Airlines will soon get to stream and surf the web with Starlink Wi-Fi on a broader flight lineup come the new year.
The airline, which operates through several Michigan airports, including Detroit Metro, will add Starlink Wi-Fi to its mainline fleet of over 1,000 Airbus and Boeing narrowbody and widebody aircraft starting in early 2027, American Airlines announced in an Oct. 8 news release.
The move expands upon a previous spring announcement that the airline would add the satellite Wi-Fi service to more than 500 of its narrowbody planes starting in early 2027.
