Nissan is a Japanese automaker that's known for making affordable everyday cars and the company also has a strong performance heritage from its NISMO vehicles. Nissan is a major player in Formula E racing and with the season coming to an end the automaker has taken on an unusual jewelry partnership. The product is a grill. Not a BBQ grill, not a front grill on a car, but a grill for your teeth. The product was created alongside LOUD MOUTH LDN, a luxury jeweler in London, England, that specializes in "grillz."

Not your father's backyard grill
A grill is an accessory that can be placed onto your teeth as a form of decoration and self expression. Similar to luxury chains and watches, a grill can serve the same purpose for some people. While seeing a grill in person is rare, they
can commonly be seen on rappers or professional athletes. They can be made with gold, diamonds or other precious gems and most can be removed while some may be permanent.
Why did Nissan create this?
The Nissan "grillz" aren't for sale, they are being made for a project that may be debuting at a later date.
Reece Garcia, the founder and director of LOUD MOUTH LDN said in a news release the partnership was unusual.
"This collaboration was something completely different for us. We enjoy pushing ourselves creatively, and it was a chance to take what we normally do and apply it to a totally different world," Garcia said. "Grillz ... are completely built around the individual, giving people a really unique way to express who they are. For this project, rather than starting with letters or logos, we looked at the shapes and details of the cars and translated them into something that works" as jewelry.
These Grillz will be on display in London where the final Formula E race of the season will take place. Fans at the event will have a chance to win a custom grill set from LOUD MOUTH LDN during the weekend of the race.
