'Josh & Jase,' the social media stars from the United Kingdom, are back in Michigan after making a splash in the state this past winter.
Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke and Jason "Jase" Riley posted on social media that they returned to Detroit on Friday, July 24, starting a new visit to Michigan with a trip to American Coney Island, where they ordered a coney dog and gyro.
The duo visited Michigan this winter, documenting a road trip across the state, that included coney dogs, Detroit-style pizza and a trip to Ford Field in Detroit. They also visited several communities in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, catching the attention and adoration of many Michiganders.
"We’re officially back in Michigan, and this time we’re about to experience everything
you told us we’d been missing," they posted Friday.
During their previous trip, Cauldwell-Clarke suffered a torn ligament in his back and was treated in a Michigan hospital. In February, he said he learned through a hospital notice that his personal information had been accessed by several Michigan hospital employees.
"This worries me. The fact there's people out there now who know my personal address, and I keep parts of my life very private. They know where I live," Cauldwell-Clarke said. "They know a lot of information about me without permission."
Despite the violation, in July, the influencers announced they would return to Michigan from July 24 through Aug. 17. They said they listened to Michigan residents, who kept telling them to experience the state in the summer.
"We've done our stripes, we did Michigan in the winter now it's time to see what Michigan is like in the summer," Riley said in a July 5 video announcement on TikTok.
