Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams can cancel a few checks to the NFL.

The wideout had a pair of fines rescinded on Tuesday, Oct. 13, that stemmed from gestures during the Lions' Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills.

In his appeal, Williams argued that "marijuana is legal in some states if that was the gesture he was making,“ according to ESPN's Ian Rappaport.

In all, fines of $14,926 and $11,941 were taken back.

According to Rappaport's report, appeals officer Derrick Brooks wrote, “Although I rescinded this fine, please make every effort to celebrate with your teammates in the best professional manner possible.”

Williams wasn't the only receiver to win an appeal for a celebration. The Bengals' Ja’Marr Chase won appeals for two fines of of $14,926 for a “people’s elbow” celebration, according to Rappaport.
