After 26 seasons, Comerica Park will officially be renamed Fifth Third Park. But did you know the new name of the Detroit Tigers stadium isn't unique?
And we're not just talking about Fifth Third Field, the home of Detroit's Triple-A affiliate Toledo Mud Hens.
The other Fifth Third Park is located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, home of the Hub City Spartanburgers, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The stadium was opened in 2025, seats over 5,000 people and is part of a larger, year-round entertainment complex with the Spartanburgers as the stadium's main tenant.
The Cincinnati, Ohio-based Fifth Third Bancorp has several sporting venues that use its
branding, including Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati (home of University of Cincinnati basketball and volleyball) and Fifth Third Field in Toledo. It is unclear whether the Spartanburg location will keep its name after the Detroit reveal – but considering the two stadiums are nearly 700 miles away from each other (with their primary tenants in different levels of pro baseball), there probably shouldn't be too much confusion between the two venues.
