Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged two men with smashing their cars into the terminals at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in separate incidents earlier this year.
Online court records show Brian Sutton, 37, of Clinton Township and David Chamlee, 67, of Southgate face up to life in prison if convicted of the charges, which Worthy is scheduled to discuss at a news conference Monday, Oct. 19.
Sutton is chargedwith three counts each of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He's also charged with one count of malicious destruction of a building.
Sutton was arrested Jan. 23, after investigators said he crashed his Mercedes through the front of the McNamara
Terminal, injuring six people before slamming into a Delta Air Lines ticket counter. A judge later ordered him to undergo a mental health examination.
That crash prompted airport officials to install concrete bollards outside the terminal.

David Chamlee, 67, of Southgate, faces two counts each of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He's also charged with one count of malicious destruction of building.
Chamlee was taken into custody May 29 after airport police said he drove his black Cadillac SUV around the bollards outside the Evans Terminal before crashing through the front door.
Tadarial Sturdivant, senior vice president of emergency and support services and operations for the Wayne County Airport Authority, later said Chamlee appeared disoriented and told authorities after his arrest that "he was there because … Tom Cruise was flying in; he wanted to save his dad."
Chad Newton, CEO of the Wayne County Airport Authority, told the Free Press in February that the airport was reviewing all of its physical security and hoped to make improvements to prevent a recurrence.
