After nearly eight months on the market, the Woods Chateau has received a $1.5 million price reduction.
Now listed for $7.5 million, the 95-room, 33,000-square-foot French Provincial estate remains the most expensive active home listing in Macomb County and could set a county MLS record if it sells near its asking price.
The current MLS record for a single-family home in Macomb County is a $4.18 million sale in November 2024, according to Realcomp II Ltd.
Completed in 2018 after seven years of construction, the three-story home offers 32,891 square feet of finished living space, 15 bedrooms, and 25 bathrooms.
Listing agents Brock Bean and Kristin Ebert of Keller Williams Paint Creek said the home was designed as a private residence where the owners
also operated their business.
The homeowner, who requested not to be identified, said she designed the residence around her late husband's needs after he became a quadriplegic. She created the home so he could continue living independently while he operated the family's mobility-equipment business from a dedicated business wing. She also shared hand-drawn sketches of the home's front and rear elevations that she created during the design process.

The estate includes a business wing with private offices, conference rooms and studio spaces, along with seven kitchens, an indoor natatorium, a commercial-grade movie theater, a banquet hall and heated garage space for up to 13 vehicles.
Located at 68050 Hillside Lane in Washington Township, the home sits on nearly 14 acres at the end of a private gravel road off 32 Mile Road. After passing several homes along Hillside Lane, the sprawling estate comes into view. Woods, a pond and a lake behind the home contribute to the property's secluded setting.
Once inside, the home's immense size becomes much more apparent than it does in photographs. Despite its scale, the family's everyday living spaces feel comfortable rather than overwhelming.
The homeowner said each of the home's 15 bedroom suites was designed with its own bathroom, closet and kitchenette to provide private accommodations for family members, business guests and overnight visitors.

The listing also highlights a grand foyer with a decorative fountain and sweeping dual staircases. The homeowner said the fountain was an anniversary gift from her husband.
For Bean, the home’s sheer size leaves the biggest impression.
“It’s absolutely massive,” he said. “When you actually pull into the property, more than 30,000 square feet of living space is pretty mind-blowing.”
