It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Girls Athlete of the Week.
This week's poll includes four players – three volleyball and one golf – who had standout performances during the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
Voting will close at noon on Friday, Oct. 9.

Here are the nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name):
Irelyn Bednarchik, Fraser, volleyball
Fraser went 3-2 last week, earning wins over Anchor Bay and Utica while also competing against Birch Run, Notre Dame Prep and West Bloomfield at a quad event on Saturday, Oct. 3. Bednarchik was a key contributor for the Ramblers, finishing the week with 42 digs, 36 kills and nine aces.
Lexi Coleman, South Lyon East, volleyball
Coleman powered South Lyon East to victories over South Lyon and
Walled Lake Northern, racking up 42 kills, 21 digs, three aces and two blocks. Her 29-kill effort against South Lyon led the way, nearly matching the 30 kills she posted against the Lions a year ago.
Hannah Kim, Troy, golf
The freshman golfer won two individual tournaments last week. On Sept. 29, Kim shot a career best 6-under-par 65 to earn medalist honors by eight strokes at the OAA Red & White League Championship. The round included six birdies and the first hole-in-one of her career. Two days later, she captured medalist honors again at the OAA Red Jamboree #4, shooting 3-under-par 33 over nine holes to win by four strokes.
Marlie Smith, Clarkston, volleyball
Smith led Clarkston to victories against Rochester Hills Stoney Creek and Rochester Adams. The Miss Volleyball finalist finished her week with 66 assists and 26 kills.
