Stellantis is recalling over 900,000 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles over an issue with the radio software, which can prevent the backup camera from displaying properly.
The automaker said Monday, Aug. 17, would file a recall with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Stellantis said there have been no known injuries related to the software malfunction.
In a statement to the Detroit Free Press, spokesperson Frank Matyok said drivers of affected vehicles should rely on driving in reverse the old-fashioned way — using side- and rearview mirrors — until an over-the-air update to fix the issue is available and can be downloaded.
In total, 848,511 vehicles are recalled in the United States, with about 100,000 more under recall outside
of the country.

- 2026-27 Chrysler Pacifica
- 2026-27 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid
- 2026-27 Chrysler Voyager
- 2026-27 Dodge Charger
- 2026 Jeep Cherokee
- 2026 Jeep Compass
- 2026 Jeep Gladiator
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
- 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
- 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L
- 2026 Jeep Wrangler
- 2026 Ram 1500
- 2026 Ram 2500
- 2026 Ram ProMaster and ProMaster EV vans
The recall does not require that drivers bring their vehicles to a dealership for a remedy. Instead, a prompt will appear on their media screen when the fix is ready to be downloaded. Matyok said if owners have issues once the remedy is ready, they can visit a dealership to have the software update installed free of charge.

Additional vehicles will be subject to recall in Canada (estimated 82,869), Mexico (estimated 7,969) and certain markets outside North America (estimated 15,736).
