Ford Motor Co. is updating the Mustang Mach-E lineup for 2027 and along with it comes a slight bump in the starting price.
The 2026 Mach-E select started at $39,840 whereas the 2027 version starts at $42,040 — both prices include the $2,045 destination fee.
Ford spokesman Jake Bley explained the price bump in an email as "the 2026 starting price is for Mustang Mach-E Select RWD with a Standard Range Battery (73 kilowatt-hour usable capacity). The 2027 pricing for Mustang Mach-E Select reflects the Extended Range Battery as standard (88 kilowatt-hour usable capacity), providing more value and range to our customers, compared to the extended range offering in same 2026 configuration."
The new Mach-E lineup, which Ford announced on Oct. 22, will include
a standard extended-range battery across the lineup, a new Select rear-wheel drive Extended Range configuration that, not including the destination charge, remains priced below $40,000 and the new Mustang Mach-E Trail variant — which is a package designed "to make outdoor adventures across pavement, gravel, and dirt roads more accessible than ever," Ford said.

The order banks for the new lineup open Oct. 22 through Ford dealerships and the Mach-E Trail version begins arriving in dealerships in the first quarter 2027. Here are some of the key new features to the 2027 Mach-E lineup.
- Redesigned secondary drive unit: Ford has added a new secondary drive unit, a front motor, delivers the same performance as the previous unit but at a lower cost, helping keep prices down.
- Extended-range battery is now standard: An extended-range battery is now standard across the entire 2027 Mach-E lineup, with Mach-E Select and Premium seeing 88 kilowatt-hour of usable capacity, and Mach-E GT with 91 kilo-watt of usable capacity. Bley said Ford is not yet releasing how much more range the 2027 model will get compared with the 2026, but it will be comparable to the extended range offering in same 2026 configuration, which is up to about 320 miles.
- New Trail package: For an extra $2,295 a Trail package is available for Mach-E Select eAWD vehicles. Ford said the Mach-E Trail "combines everyday electric usability with purpose-designed hardware for the pavement, gravel and dirt roads leading to trailheads, campsites and days on the water."
- Purpose-designed hardware: Ford's suspension provides 10 millimeters of extra ride height in the front and 15 millimeters in the rear compared with Mach-E Select and Mach-E Premium. Also, a steering rack and 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels with "as-cast graphics" are shared with Mach-E Rally and paired with Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires.
- Technology and connected services: The Ford Connectivity Package — a service that provides internet access, navigation, entertainment and more — and Ford Security Package — an anti-theft and vehicle recovery service — are standard across the lineup with one year of service included, with one-time-purchase options available.
- BlueCruise: BlueCruise 1.5, Ford's hands-free driving system, is included with the optional Tech Pack Lite on Mach-E Select and the optional Premium Tech Pack on Mach-E Premium, with one year plus 90 days of service included. A Tech Pack is essentially optional upgrades. Ford said because Mach-E Trail is built on Select, BlueCruise hardware must be selected when the vehicle is ordered. A one-time-purchase option is available on all trims equipped with the required BlueCruise hardware.
- Pro Power Onboard: A 400-watt Pro Power Onboard, which is an integrated mobile generator system built into select Ford vehicles, comes standard on Mach-E Trail. Ford said it includes outlets in the cargo area and rear center console to power camp lights, inflate paddleboards, or top off bike tires. It is also available on Premium and GT models.
- Accessories: An optional Interior Protection Package includes all-weather floor mats and a cargo-area protector. A separately available Clamp On Cross Bar Kit by Thule adds space for bikes, kayaks, gearboxes and more.
- Ford Rewards: Customers also receive 100,000 Ford Rewards points in addition to the 22,000 Ford Rewards points that customers receive as part of their Mach-E purchase, which are redeemable toward eligible accessories supporting outdoor pursuits, as well as parts, merchandise, subscriptions and experiences.
The new Trail version comes with specially tuned front and rear struts and springs, Ford said, along with rally-shared steering rack, 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels with as-cast graphics, and 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires and extra 10 millimeters front and 15 millimeters rear of ride height.
Trail's design includes bodyside graphics, Carbon Black lower front fascia, and a Mach-E Trail center arm rest logo. The Trail package is only available on the Mach-E eAWD version.

Here are the starting prices for 2027 Mustang Mach-E lineup, not including the $2,045 destination fee or the A, Z or X plan prices:
- Mach-E Select RWD Extended Range, 88 kilowatt-hour: $39,995.
