Ford Motor Co. is rolling out a few updates for its flagship pickup for the 2027 model year.
The Dearborn automaker showed off the 2027 Ford F-150, including its new F-150 Carhartt edition available on 4x4 XLT Crew Cab models, at Detroit’s Belle Isle on Monday, Sept. 14.
The new Carhartt package is an expansion of a brand partnership beyond the F-Series Super Duty. The F-150 Carhartt offers seven color choices and adds the Carhartt name and logo inside and outside the truck, including a “spray-in bedliner proudly branded with Carhartt to protect your cargo.”
The two-tone seats are designed to mimic the look of Carhartt’s work clothing, and the name even appears on the all-weather
floormats.
The 2027 Ford F-150 Carhartt can be ordered now ahead of expected availability early next year. The Carhartt Package is $4,195, and the F-150 Carhartt has a starting price of $62,660, not counting delivery and other charges, according to the company.
For comparison, the 2027 F-150 XL Regular Cab 4x2 starts at $37,790 without destination and delivery charges, or $40,585 if you include $2,795 destination and delivery charges, according to Ford. The non-Carhartt 2027 F-150 is open for orders now and is expected to be available later this year.
Ford is also looking to appeal to more cost-conscious off-roading customers with new entry-level F-150 Tremor and F-150 Raptor offerings. Some features have been changed without sacrificing off-roading capability, according to Ford.
The entry-level Tremor, for instance, offers manual A/C instead of dual zone climate control, no heated seats and a six-, rather than eight-speaker, audio system. Those changes, and a few others, help drop about $5,300 off the starting price compared with 2026, bringing it to $62,400, according to Ford.
The entry-level Raptor, at $77,800, drops features like fog lamps and head-up display, among others. That price is about $4,000 lower than the 2026 entry-level truck, Ford said.
Other changes for the 2027 F-150 include new grille and wheel designs for the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum models, and a “new standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine,” which replaces a 2.7-liter V6. In addition, there’s a 3.5-liter hybrid engine available, and the 5.0-liter V8 returns to King Ranch and Platinum for the first time since 2023, Ford said.
The company is also offering BlueCruise with Towing to the 2027 F-150, adding a hands-free highway driving option.
“Every BlueCruise-equipped 2027 F-150 will have access, from XLT and Tremor to Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. Those with an active BlueCruise subscription on the vehicle don't have to pay extra to use BlueCruise with Towing,” according to Ford.
