Decomposing human remains were found in a wooded area near the Oakland County Courthouse on Tuesday morning, July 28.Deputies responding to a report located the remains, believed to be those of an adult male, at about 10:07 a.m. on July 28 in a wooded area south of the Oakland County Circuit Court building in Pontiac, according to a statement from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
The remains were in an advanced state of decomposition, but a patient identification bracelet was recovered, and detectives are working to determine the originating medical facility. Detectives continue to process the scene and investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
