PWHL Detroit announced Monday that its inaugural home opener for the 2026-27 season will be played on Saturday, Dec. 12, at noon.
The game against the New York Sirens marks the team’s debut at Little Caesars Arena, located at 645 Woodward Avenue, although they will open the season on Sunday, Dec. 6 against PWHL Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
League officials say the complete regular season schedule will be announced on Friday, Oct. 2.
Tickets are available online starting at 11 a.m. Monday through Ticketmaster and can be purchased online.
The PWHL andScripps Sports earlier this month announced a national television partnership for the 2026-27 season that gives Detroit's new team a local broadcast outlet.
Scripps, which has two outlets in Detroit —
WMYD-TV and The Spot Detroit 20 (which is WMYD's online station) — will be the local broadcast partner for the Detroit PWHL team entering its inaugural season. The Spot Detroit 20 is also the broadcast partner of the Detroit Pistons.
The PWHL begins with preseason games Nov. 22-30; each team will play two. Detroit's first game is at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster, Ottawa, Canada, against the Charge.
