The candidates running to lead Michigan as its next governor will take the debate stage for a second time before the Nov. 3 midterm election.
On Thursday, Oct. 15, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, the Democratic nominee, will again face off against U.S. Rep. John James, the Republicans' nominee for governor, for a debate hosted by WDIV-TV at the Local 4 studio in downtown Detroit, according to the station. It is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.

It follows the first televised debate between the pair hosted by WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids Oct. 6 that highlighted major policy divides between the candidates, from education to energy, and saw the candidates trade sharp attacks.
WDIV-Local 4 anchor Jason Colthorp will moderate the second
debate. He previously posed questions to the pair in separate appearances they made at a Detroit Economic Club candidate forum in September.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer cannot run again due to term limits. She has endorsed Benson to replace her, while James has President Donald Trump's support in the race.
