The body of a Northville man was recovered after he went missing in Lake St. Clair, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.
It said its dive team recovered the body of James "Jak" Kramer, 23, about 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10. The office said Kramer entered the water Saturday evening, Aug. 8. Witnesses said the man went in to swim, went underwater and did not resurface. His body was found underwater, sheriff's spokesperson Jennifer Putney said.
Foul play is not suspected, the sheriff's office said in a release.
The Sheriff's Office Marine Division, located in Harrison Township, was dispatched to the lake, two to three miles south of the mouth of the South Channel, on Aug. 8 in regard to the incident. Marine divisions from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and
U.S. Coast Guard also responded in the search.
