It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Buffalo Wild Wings Girls Athlete of the Week.
While students across Michigan are returning to the classroom at different times, fall sports athletes have already been hard at work.
In our first edition of our girls Athlete of the Week campaign, we're recognizing four volleyball players who made an impact on their team's first few games.
Voting will close at noon on Friday, Aug. 28.

Maci Godfrey, Hudson
Hudson opened its season with a pair of wins in a tri-match against Quincy and Onsted on Aug. 19. Godfrey, a junior libero and captain for
the Tigers, led her team with a total of 15 digs and five aces.
Avery Kapeller, Orchard Lake St. Mary's
St. Mary's got off to a strong start to what will be a season of change. The Eaglets opened their campaign at the Lake Orion Dragon Invitational on Aug. 22, finishing 3-1-1. Kapeller, a senior outside hitter, led the way with 66 kills, 29 digs, nine blocks and three aces.
Mia Keefer, Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard
The freshman middle hitter made an impressive debut for the Irish during the Chelsea Invitational on Aug. 22. Keefer finished the event with 32 kills, a .338 hitting percentage and five blocks.
Allison Stakoe, Bloomfield Hills
Bloomfield opened its season with back-to-back quad matches on Aug. 20 and Aug. 22. Stakoe powered the Black Hawks with 68 kills, 62 receptions, 37 digs and 17 aces.
