The Grosse Ile Police Department are using a new tool to identify a man whose remains were recovered from the Detroit River on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
According to Deputy Chief Kevin Count, officer uploaded photos of the remains to an AI software that generated a photo of what the man, who approximately 50 years old, may have looked like.
Officers also say he is around 150 pounds with short dark hair and a white beard.
He had multiple tattoos, police say, "including a crucifix across his back, a cross surrounded by the words 'Italian Bad Boy' on his right shoulder, an Italian flag on his left shoulder, and praying hands with the word 'famiglia' on his upper left chest," a Monday, Sept. 14 post on Facebook reads.
