"Saved by the Bell" actor Dennis Haskins, known for playing Principal Richard Belding, has died at 75 years old.
Haskins died Sunday, Sept. 27, in Burbank, California, according to IMDb. His agent, Jay Schachter, confirmed the actor’s death to USA TODAY early Tuesday, Sept. 29. A cause of death was not immediately announced.
"It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis, loved him even more," Schachter said in his statement. "He was a great person, and he loved, I mean absolutely loved his fans."
He is survived by a son, Dustin Haskins.

Born Dennis Button Haskins IV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Haskins was an award-winning actor known for playing Principal Richard Belding on the NBC teen sitcom series "Saved by the Bell," according to IMDb.
Haskins first played Belding on the Disney Channel show "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" in 1988, continuing in the role for "Saved by the Bell"'s four seasons from 1989 to 1993 and in "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" from 1993 to 2000.
He also appeared in over two dozen other television series and films throughout his acting career. His a long list of TV credits, include "The Dukes of Hazzard," "The West Wing," "How I Met Your Mother," "7th Heaven," "Mad Men," (as Cool Whip executive Phil Beachum) and "Hot in Cleveland." In movies, Haskins played a snake oil salesman in "A Million Ways to Die in the West."

University of Michigan alumnus and former football coach Jim Harbaugh, now with the Los Angeles Chargers, appeared on "Saved by the Bell" in 1994 as the cousin of student Samuel "Screech" Powers, played by late actor Dustin Diamond, according to the NCAA.
"As far as celebrity cameos go, Harbaugh’s acting isn’t all that terrible. Still, it’s absolutely hilarious to watch him deliver cheesy sitcom life lessons with a straight face.
