Gibbs’ return to the field comes three days after Bijan Robinson landed a three-year extension that made him the highest-paid running back in the NFL, and on the same day Jonathan Taylor landed a deal making him the league’s second-highest paid back.
Robinson's new deal is worth $22.25 million per year, while Taylor’s is worth a reported
$22 million annually.
Gibbs, who has two years left on his rookie contract, has two straight 1,200-yard rushing seasons and holds the NFL record for most touchdowns (49) in a player’s first three years.
He has been taking part in meetings and weight room workouts during his hold in.
