A full moon is coming soon to Michigan skies, but if you were hoping for an illuminated, spooky Halloween night, you'll have to wait another dozen-odd years.
The hunter's moon will peak at 12:12 a.m. on Oct. 26, per the Old Farmer's Almanac. The moon should appear full the evening before and in the day or two after, clear skies permitting.
Michigan won't see a full moon until 2039 — 13 more years to wait, as the occurrence comes once every 18-19 years, per the Old Farmer's Almanac. The last full moon on Halloween was in 2020. And for all the "Hocus Pocus" fans, the Halloween full moon is known to bring all the witches out for spooky season.
