The Detroit Tigers are set for their most-anticipated series of the regular season.
The Tigers (62-71) are facing the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers (80-54) on Friday, Aug. 28, at Comerica Park in Detroit (6:40 p.m. ET, DSN). This is the first game of a star-studded, three-game weekend series that should bring a packed house each day to the park.
First up for the Tigers is former lefty ace Tarik Skubal (8-7, 2.91 ERA), who is starting for the Dodgers on Friday night. The Tigers traded Skubal to the Dodgers on Aug. 1 in exchange for three prospects, with Skubal now set to pitch his first game at Comerica Park as a visitor.

The Tigers, meanwhile, will tab swingman Drew Anderson (4-5, 4.09 ERA) for his seventh start of the season.
Anderson last pitched on Aug. 22 in a 3-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals, allowing three earned runs over five innings.
The back-to-back World Series champion Dodgers will be a tough test for a Tigers team in need of wins to stay alive in the American League playoff hunt. Here is how the lineup stacks up for both teams.
