Vice President JD Vance will be back in Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 15, taking part in a midterm election rally and taping a town hall meeting to be broadcast by CBS on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The rally is scheduled to be held at the LevelUp Training Complex in Monroe, in southeastern Michigan near the Ohio border, at noon. Vance is scheduled to speak at 1:20 p.m. The rally is being hosted by the Trump 47 Committee, a joint fundraising committee between the Republican National Committee, President Donald Trump's Save America PAC and state GOP committees.

While a list of speakers wasn't made available, the Free Press knows U.S. Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Bruce
Township and a member of House leadership, will be one of them. With less than three weeks to go until the midterm elections, she was expected to talk about "the country we're leaving our kids," and giving them the opportunity to "grow up in a Michigan where hard work still means something, where they can afford a home, raise a family, and give their own children an even better life," according to her prepared remarks.
"So I’m asking Michigan to build one more thing," she says in the speech, referencing the state's manufacturing background, "a future our children will be proud of."
Vance also is scheduled to take part in a town hall meeting hosted by "CBS Evening News" anchor Tony Dokoupil, though a site for that wasn't released. CBS says the town hall will air at 8 p.m. Oct. 17.
Vance last visited Michigan in mid-September, touring a precision metal stamping facility in Howell. The vice president has been campaigning for Republicans ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections when majority control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, both currently held by Republicans, is up for grabs.
Michigan has several key elections in the midterm contests, including a race between Democratic former Wayne County and Detroit health director Abdul El-Sayed and Republican former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers for an open U.S. Senate seat.
