Prosecutors have charged the parents of a toddler who was found with a loaded handgun at a Canton daycare last month.
Rabab Ibrahim Al Zayad, 27, has been charged with one count of unsafe storage, a 93-day misdemeanor. And Brandon John Ely, 28, has been charged with one count of fourth degree child abuse, a one-year misdemeanor.

Brandon John Ely is an officer with the Detroit Police Department, Canton Police chief Joseph Bialy said.
The arraignment was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 in 35th District Court in front of Judge Joe Barone.
Barone prohibited the parents from possessing any weapons. Ely told Barone at the hearing that he has nine guns in his home.
A lawyer, Colemon Potts, for both parents declined comment.

Prosecutors say the individuals' 3-year-old son found the firearm in a backpack stored in the classroom around 8:55 a.m. September 28 at Children’s World’s Early Learning Center.
"The firearm was then passed to other students," a press release from Worthy's office said. "A teacher observed the handgun, immediately intervened, and removed it from the children."
No one was injured.
“These are the charges that we will be able prove in court of law beyond a reasonable doubt. It is very unsettling to think about what may have happened in this case. We are thankful that there was no loss of life at this daycare center,” Worthy said in a press release.
