A former substitute teacher accused of sending naked pictures to a child and claiming the two were dating has entered a no contest plea. Here's a look at that case and one other addressed at the Marion County Judicial Center the week of Aug. 10.

State v. Dianely Torres
Judge: Circuit Judge Peter Brigham.
Lawyers:
Defense attorney John P. Senkarik and Assistant State Attorney McKall Miller.Charge: Two counts of lewd or lascivious battery on a child age 12-16; lewd lascivious molestation of a child; five counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor; nine counts of possession of child pornography.
When was her hearing? Aug. 13.
What was her sentence? Sentencing was delayed so a pre-sentence investigation could be completed.
Is Torres in or out
of jail? At the Marion County Jail, where bail is set at $475,000.
About the case: A Marion County Sheriff's Office school resource officer was told in February 2025 that a child was in Torres' lap and she was massaging the minor's head. From their investigation, detectives said they found nude pictures of Torres on the child's phone, and sexually explicit drawings from the 25-year-old Ocala woman.
Interviewing her, detectives said she told them she and the juvenile were dating and they share nude pictures, which were found on her phone.
She was taken into custody in May 2025. School officials said she had been fired in February 2025 and had not been on any school grounds since her firing.
State v. Deivis Munoz Hernandez
Judge: Circuit Judge Peter Brigham.
Lawyers: Assistant State Attorney McKall Miller and defense lawyer Daniel Perez.
Charges: Travel to meet a minor for illegal sexual conduct; unlawful use of two-way communications device to facilitate; possession of cocaine; possession of drug paraphernalia.
Was Munoz Hernandez in court and if so what happened? Yes. He accepted a negotiated plea deal. The 27-year-old Ocala man was sentenced to 32 months in prison and 24 months of probation.
Munoz Hernandez had nothing to say when asked by the judge. The man's lawyer told the court that the defendant will be detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the conclusion of his sentence.
As part of the plea, Munoz Hernandez must register as a sexual offender, cannot have any contact with a child younger than 18, and cannot use any illegal drugs or substances.
