A motorcycle rider died Sept. 27 after a crash in northeast Ocala.
Here's what we know:
Where was the crash? In the parking lot behind a store in the 2400 block of Northeast 49th Terrace.
What time was the crash? About 12:49 p.m.
Which agency is investigating the crash? Ocala Police Department.
What happened? Police said a 30-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when it hit a curb, went airborne, then struck a tree and a concrete pole.
Police said the rider was wedged between the pole and tree. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
As of Sept. 28 police had not released the man's name.
The death was the eighth traffic death of the year within the Ocala city limits.
Ocala Police recorded 16 traffic deaths in all of 2025.
